Hackney Police Offering Cycle Security Tagging This Month

According to a brief comment on Cycling Cultures, Hackney Police are organising four sessions this month where you can have an RFID security tag fitted to your bike and registered on Immobilise so that it can be identified, and hopefully returned, if it’s nicked.

*Update* Cycling Cultures went along and has a report on the tagging.

I can’t find much information out there but Tag Your Bike has wonkily formatted dates and times, straightened out here:

13th September 8am – 1pm

Hackney Town Centre outside Library / museum

15th September 8am – 1pm

Wells Street Common, Victoria Park Road E9 near the Britannia pub

23rd September 8am – 1pm

Hackney Central, St Johns Churchyard (next to toilets, opposite Marks and Spencer, Narroway / Mare Street E8)

24th September 8am – 1pm

Tesco Well Street E9
